Commissioner Bryan Grote is a Principal at Mercator Advisors, LLC, a financial advisory firm that works with government agencies and other sponsors of infrastructure projects. Prior to co-founding Mercator Advisors in 2001, he served as Director of the USDOT's TIFIA credit assistance program and senior advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs and Chief Financial Officer. His previous experience in government finance and infrastructure policy included positions with the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Highway Administration, the Congressional Budget Office and the Government Accountability Office. He graduated from the University of Minnesota / Humphrey Institute in 1990 with an M.A. in Public Affairs, and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986 with a B.A. in Geography.
